Hated

A faction standing band. Normal faction pricing refuses trade. A pricing exception such as Diplomat’s Crown can change this, but the person’s other refusal rules still apply.

Reference
Standing range-100 up to, but not including, -50. The lower end belongs to this band.
Nominal buying priceNormal faction pricing refuses trade. A pricing exception such as Diplomat’s Crown can change this, but the person’s other refusal rules still apply. This is the standing part of a normal shop price, before other discounts, the shop’s own pricing and rounding.
Direct faction hostilityThis faction’s own standing is below -20, which can make its people and patrols hostile. Exactly -20 is Unfriendly and does not cross this hostility rule.
Allied hostilityA faction can also turn hostile when your standing with one of its listed allies falls below -50. Exactly -50 does not trigger this allied rule. A friendly number with this faction does not cancel that rule.
Other shop rulesDiplomat’s Crown can cap the standing price factor at 0.85 and lift the normal Hated pricing refusal. Terroir discounts and Bard’s Spirits can reduce the factor further. The person may still refuse to speak or trade for other reasons.
Titles and statuesThe normal standing award can grant Friend of the faction at 240 and Hero of the faction at 500. Statues have separate higher thresholds and service requirements.
Building permissionStanding is one part of town building permission. Friendly is the first ordinary permission band for the listed town builds. Check Plan and the place’s permission for the particular structure and tile. This band does not grant unrestricted building rights.
Personal friendshipFaction standing is separate from personal warmth towards a named townsperson, the town’s opinion and an individual’s grudges. A higher faction band does not automatically clear those other records.
