Selling goods
Take goods to someone who deals in them. Blacksmiths pay more for equipment. Herbalists and alchemists pay more for flora, and butchers, beast handlers and chandlers pay full listed value for creature trophies. Common flora can still round down to no sale value.
Cheese merchants pay 60 percent of the listed value of cheese, rounded down with a minimum of one gold. Cheese in demand pays another half on top of that rounded price. The order of that rounding matters for cheap wheels.
Unidentified equipment sells for half its identified selling price, rounded down with a minimum of one gold. Identifying it before selling can therefore matter, particularly for valuable pieces.
Vendors have limited gold. Their purses refill by a quarter of their capacity per in-game day, up to the cap. If they cannot afford a whole stack, they can buy the part they have money for.
