Fibre, tools and unfinished work
Strip fibre from reeds, tall grass or bushes. A knife, multi-tool, hatchet or axe also lets you cut inner bark from a tree. Each source needs time to regrow after it is stripped. Camp work turns three fibre into three lengths of cord.
Worn durable tools keep working, but their reduced efficiency makes work take longer. Sharpen cutting tools with a sharpening stone and water. A multi-tool repairs suitable metal equipment. Sewing or repair tape can mend suitable cloth and deployed gear.
Building and workbench crafting progress through individual work steps. An unfinished workbench recipe has a Stop work row, and its materials have not been used yet. Camp work has a different cost rule: it spends the listed inputs when the job starts.
You can recover a deployed net, tarp roof or hammock through Camp work. It keeps its worn condition. Cord used for a snare cannot be recovered, and a wire snare only returns usable wire while its condition is high enough.
