Rest, company and grief

Wellbeing tracks recreation, comfort, company and privacy. Settlers gain comfort from sleeping in a reachable bed. Shared work, meals and leisure provide company. Quiet contemplation gives people space when they need privacy.

Low morale builds strain. An overwhelmed settler can take recovery time, then return to their timetable when that period ends or their morale improves enough. Check the causes on their card and give them reachable places to rest or relax.

Where life stories are enabled, Keep apart stops two settlers arguing, but also stops them talking things through. Sit with asks a friend or comrade at home to comfort someone who is grieving. They need to be awake and close enough to meet.

A wake is held at 21:00 when someone who knows about the death is at leisure by a fire. If nobody is there, it waits until another evening. A death from before the colony kept life stories cannot have a wake called for it.
