Workshops and equipment

Workshop orders can restrict ingredients by material, quality, recipe or milk type. Check those rules when stock looks sufficient but a batch will not start. A pile can be the right resource and still fail the order’s ingredient rule.

A production tool speeds mining, building and woodcutting work when the settler carries it. The tool’s quality affects the bonus. Equip requests need a finished tool in connected storage, and returning a tool puts it on the ground for hauling.

Forged equipment uses the chosen material and the smith’s quality. Quality determines the piece’s rarity and where its stats fall within the base item’s range. The armoury handles individual equipment and ammunition, while a squad can request a uniform for its members.
