Creature drops and Item Find
Ordinary Adventure creatures can have an authored loot table. Each entry is handled separately, so a creature can leave more than one item. Some entries always resolve, while others have a chance roll. The creature pages list the base amounts and chances for the reviewed wildlife and dungeon rosters. These tables do not describe every boss, raid, livestock or scripted encounter.
Item Find and separate trophies
For an authored entry with a chance roll, Item Find multiplies that chance by one plus Item Find divided by 100. Entries without a chance roll still yield their normal item. Creature trophies make a separate roll and can arrive alongside ordinary loot. Their Item Find multiplier stops at twice the base trophy chance.
Extra ordinary drops
An ordinary overworld creature without an authored loot table can make a separate equipment or item roll. Its chance grows with the creature's XP value and Item Find, with a 25% ceiling. In a dungeon, a non-boss creature can also drop a Fresh Curd on the first floor or a Healer's Wheel on deeper floors. That roll starts at 20% before Item Find and is separate from its authored table.
A shooter's ammunition
A slain shooter can leave ammunition for the weapon it used. A crossbowman's quiver can yield bolts, while an archer's can yield arrows. Creatures that spit or cast spells do not gain ammunition from this rule. Your own equipped weapon does not choose the drop, and Item Find does not increase this ammunition roll.
Where the drop lands
Settings, then Gameplay has Creature drops fall to the ground. With this enabled, creature items try to land near the corpse before the normal pickup handling. Gold still goes to the purse. If the ground has no room, the game falls back to normal delivery. With the setting off, inventory space, automatic equipment, quick slots and loot filters can still affect where an item goes. Finding a drop does not guarantee it enters your backpack.
