Work for Hire (Reeve)
Reeve teaches quests and standing. Take a job from a villager or a notice board
| Tutor | Reeve. The person’s name and voice depend on the village’s guild. |
|---|---|
| Take the lesson | How do I find work?. Accept it through the tutor’s conversation, then follow the current objective under Lessons. |
| Step 1 | Take a job from a villager or a notice board |
| Starter hand-out | None. Given when the lesson is accepted. |
| Hand-in gold | 12 gold. |
| Hand-in experience | 15 XP. |
| Hand-in items | None. |
| When the lesson is done | A job already in the host or solo log or archive can count. Tutorial quests, these lessons, the tutor circuit and the first story on-ramp do not. If the village’s notice board is known to have no work, the open step can complete without a new job. |
| Collect the reward | Finish the current steps, then speak with this tutor again. A completed objective is ready to hand in, and does not pay the reward by itself. Each lesson can be learned once for that character’s lesson record. |
| Shared games | Each player has their own lesson progress and rewards. A guest’s lesson does not use the party’s earlier construction or deed history to skip its opening step. |
| Receiving supplies | Items use the ordinary hand-over, so a full pack can spill them to the ground. Tools can ride in the tool roll below the pack. Gold goes to the acting character’s purse. Livestock is placed beside the giver. |
