Quests and handing in work

Check the quest log for the named objective and where to return. Some faction jobs can be handed in at a notice board. Personal jobs, including gathering, investigations and cheese commissions, belong to the person who gave them to you.

For gathering work, you need enough of the named item in your carried supplies. Items you already owned or bought can count. Protected stacks are kept out of the hand-in, and earlier contracts can already have a claim on some of your stock.

An ordinary investigation completes when you reach its marked target area. Follow any separate interaction named by a story quest.

Repeated work pays less standing. The game checks work from that person, work in that settlement, your jobs there today and repeated job types. Only the largest reduction applies. The daily allowance returns at dawn. Lifetime allowances do not refill.
