Base lifetime12 world turns. The cast can spend the first turn of this lifetime.
Base attack reach1 tiles, including diagonals. Large targets are measured to their nearest occupied cell.
Finding a targetLooks for an eligible creature within 6 tiles of itself and 10 tiles of the player it is following. A visible target takes priority for attacks with reach above 1.
Protected targetsDoes not choose passive creatures, pets, livestock, vendors, settlement NPCs, citizens, guards, villagers or escorts. Targets with no damage are also skipped.
Wounds and retreatA summon already fighting retreats when its health reaches 25% of maximum or less. It can fight again once healed to at least 50%.
Inoculated CurdsWith this Art, its attacks apply Curdled for 4 turns to a surviving target, unless the target is immune.
PlacementTries the aim tile, then square rings up to 2 tiles away. It avoids your tile and each living creature's main tile. Other players and the extra body tiles of large creatures are not separately blocked by this placement check. A cramped cast can create fewer creatures. A cast with no room is refused before its normal cost.
Shared limitAt most 8 summons in the current creature list, shared across casters. Making room removes those with the shortest remaining lifetimes. Other cached floors have separate creature lists.
DestructionHostile hits use its armour and any support ward. Reaching zero health destroys it. There is no pet knockout or permanent pet death behind this creature.
Whey-Blood DetonationWith this Art, expiry or destruction by a hostile hit bursts for a base 6 damage within 2 tiles, including diagonals. This burst can also harm passive wildlife. Removal to make room at the summon limit gives no burst.
Co-op ownershipWhile its caster remains in the party, kill rewards follow that caster. Its on-hit statuses retain the caster stamp. Its following behaviour currently uses the player whose creature turn is running, so movement can follow another party member.
Lifetime away from youLeaving a cached dungeon floor does not stop the absolute expiry clock. A co-op creature frozen outside the active local group has its expiry extended while that group is paused.
