Letters and parcels
Use a traveller’s postal address when you send a letter. Names can be shared by several characters, so the post office asks you to choose an address when a name is ambiguous. A character must have visited the market before the directory can find them by name.
A letter costs one gold in postage, plus one gold for each attached stack. You can attach up to six stacks. Gold on delivery asks the recipient to pay when they take the attached items. A letter can give gold or ask for gold, but cannot do both. Rare or better items, boats, mounts and pack animals cannot be posted.
Mail expires after three real days. An ordinary player letter with unclaimed goods or gold is returned to its sender once. Collect a returned parcel promptly: if it expires again, its contents are lost.
