| Breeding partners | Another Laying Hen. Both animals need happiness above 80, breeding switched on and no breeding rest remaining. Stand the animals next to each other, including diagonally. |
| Shared herd limit | Births stop when the whole recorded herd contains 10 Laying Hen animals in total. Animals elsewhere and animals with breeding switched off still count. This limit prevents births, rather than limiting how many animals you can own. |
| Offspring species | Two Laying Hen parents produce Laying Hen young. There is no further species upgrade for this pair. |
| Renewable eggs | Egg. The current base yield of 1 gives 1 per collection throughout the usual 0 to 100 happiness range. The egg timer resets to 40 active overworld turns. |

A successful collection takes one turn and resets only that product’s timer. Waiting after a timer reaches zero does not store extra batches. Delivery can overflow to the ground or fail if no space is available. |
