Child

A generated child example. Appearance varies.

A household or age title used by generated settlement residents. Their role and life stage are tracked separately.

Reference
ModeAdventure
Where to lookYoung children added to generated households. Newer full-game housing worlds can show them in the settlement.
Goods shopThis role has no ordinary goods shelf.
Ordinary interactionUse Talk and Ask the way from the interaction menu. Sleeping, hiding, commuting, hostility and home privacy can limit conversation. Named story characters can have their own exceptions.
QuestsCheck the current Quest entry. A title alone does not guarantee work, and an existing quest, location, standing or story state can change the offer.
Life stageWhen a saved birth time is present, age checks can move a person from child to youth, then to an occupation and later to elder. Ageing into elder keeps the occupation. The role label Elder is a separate generated title.
VisibilityNewer full-game housing worlds can show children. Earlier housing worlds and the demo keep children out of the ordinary settlement spawn pass until they grow into youths.
Growing upThe child stage lasts until 80,000 turns of age. Youth lasts until 160,000. At adulthood a child can inherit a living parent's trade, otherwise takes an occupation from the adult pool.
