Crafting and improving equipment

The Crafting panel lists recipes you know. A recipe may produce several items or an unfinished cheese that still needs to age. Check the result and quantities before spending your materials.

The forge can improve suitable equipment from your pack or worn slots. A material upgrade moves the item up one material tier. Some equipment has no material upgrade, and pieces at the top of their ladder are marked as finished.

Rerolling changes a suitable item’s affixes. Material upgrades improve its base stats instead. The gold prices of rerolls, upgrades and equipment affinage rise with your forge purchases in that save.

Equipment affinage improves eligible legendary equipment through three steps, in order. It consumes gold, a catalyst and a suitable cheese. Some steps also need a culture. The confirmation lets you choose the cheese stack.

A protected cheese cannot be spent on equipment affinage. In your own forge panel, a wheel on your Spell Belt is excluded as well. Remove it from the belt first if you intend to use it as an ingredient.
