Keeping and milking livestock
Milk comes from a living adult female goat or cow. She needs enough health, food and water, time since the last milking, and a reachable assigned Milking station. Building another station does not create another animal.
A hungry or thirsty animal stops producing milk. Check the way to it, enable Farming and Hauling, and make sure food and water have reached storage. A Milking station is where milking happens, so it still needs a dairy worker.
Cold and heat matter to the herd. The animal’s current position determines its conditions, so a roof elsewhere does not shelter it. When moving an animal to a pen or its assigned station, check where it has actually arrived.
