Rest fishing phase
This phase affects the reeling action you take while it is shown. Your action and the fish both change tension. The next phase is chosen after this action resolves.

| Fish difficulty scaling | Multiply the fish tension change by 1 plus difficulty divided by 200. This also increases the size of negative changes. |
| Base progress with Pull | 10 |
| Base progress with Hold | 5 |
| Base progress with Slack | 2 |
| Progress bonuses | Effective fishing power, lure power and fishing level add progress only when the action has positive base progress in this phase. A fishing power affix on the lure can contribute to effective fishing power. |
