A Cellarer
A hired keeper of the wheel summary in your Homestead Ledger.
| Where to hire | Open the Homestead Ledger and choose Patronage. Choose this retainer. No Patronage standing or level is required by the hire control. |
|---|---|
| Hiring fee | 6,000 gold, or 1 Reserve token. A token is used automatically when available and covers the whole hiring fee. |
| Hire title | Keeper of a Full Cellar. It is added to the acting character’s title list. The wage tick does not remove an already earned title. |
| Recurring wage | 12 gold per 500 turns. The ordinary cellar and retinue check runs every 25 world turns. This fixed wage is separate from Counting House and Cooper’s Art. |
| Wage cycle | The first retainer starts a new 500-turn wage cycle. A retainer added to an existing retinue joins its current cycle, so their first bill can come sooner. Cellar dues are paid before retinue wages. |
| If gold runs short | The cheapest hired retainers leave first until the remaining bill fits the purse. Someone who leaves can be hired again. Your other possessions are not seized to cover this wage. |
| Hire limits | You can hire each of the three retainers once at a time. Hiring does not spend Patronage standing. The title, wage and presentation listed here add no combat or worker-stat bonus. |
| Cellarer’s ledger | Adds a note in the Reserve Cellar and Patronage tabs, outside the wheel picker. It summarises Reserve Cellar niches, homestead cheese caves and deposited ageing contracts. |
| What the note reports | Counts entries by place and those ready to collect, then names the unfinished timed entry with the least listed work left. A stalled reserve is still included, so this is not a promise that unpaid work will finish. |
| Moon racks | If only moon racks remain unfinished, the note reports the one furthest along. The Cellarer does not age or collect the wheels for you. |
