Premium Feed livestock feed
Premium Feed can be given to owned livestock or loaded into a trough.

| Hand-feeding happiness | Adds 10 happiness, up to 100. Resets accumulated hunger and starts a fresh feeding interval. |
| Trough meal happiness | Adds 7 happiness when the animal eats, up to 100. Unsheltered weather can then lower happiness. |
| Milk quality factor | Multiplies the happiness share of milk quality by 1.25. Species quality bonuses are added afterwards. Final quality is capped at 1. |
| Milk yield | The milk quantity uses base yield times milk quality, rounded to the nearest whole number, with a minimum of 1. A milking stool also multiplies quantity by 1.5. The feed factor does not guarantee the same percentage increase in milk quantity. |
| Other produce | Eggs, wool and silk use happiness and whole-number rounding. They do not apply this milk quality factor directly. |
| Hand-feeding cost | One item and one turn for a successful Feed action beside the animal, including diagonals. The selected feed is used if an unprotected stack remains. Otherwise the game tries Premium Feed, Herb Mix, Grain, then Hay Bale. |
| Manual trough fill | One item adds 10 stored meals. The newest feed type becomes the grade for all meals left in that trough. Repeated manual fills can raise the meal count above 10. |
| Farmhand use | A farmhand adds one stored meal per feed item and aims for 10 meals. They spend Hay Bale first, then Grain, Herb Mix and Premium Feed. This route can spend protected feed stored in chests. |
| Finding this feed | Craft from 1 Grain and 1 Herb Mix for 5 gold. This craft starts known. Herders can also sell Premium Feed. |
