Idol pedestal
Placed idol and pedestalLifting the idol spends a turn, gives you the Gilded Idol, opens its creature alcoves and tries to lower the entrance gate. Pull the escape lever to reopen the way out.

Mechanism states with spoilers
These pictures show another state of the placed mechanism in the 2D view. The main image shows its labelled state. Floor, lighting and nearby bodies can change the scene. A hidden pressure plate can look like floor until spotted. The carried Gilded Idol has separate item artwork.
