| Effect | Lets you swim deep water at full pace and keeps items from floating out of your backpack. |
| Limits and overlapping effects | Water Walking and Water Breathing give the same swimming protection. Their names do not grant extra movement over lava. |
| Items that can grant it | Tideberry Brie |
| Duration | Uses the duration of the source item or event. Permanent gifts remain for life. |
| Swimming and pack safety | While active, this effect prevents held swimming strokes and the swimming loss roll. Its protection covers the pack, as well as movement. It does not protect against water-creature attacks or allow swimming in lava. |
